About Me

Hello! I’m Shaylynn. I’m a 23-year-old living in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  I love Jesus and whole-heartedly believe in laughing often, loving well and living life abundantly. My passion is to help other young wives to develop passionate courage in their faith, thriving strength in their marriage, and simplified joy in their homes.

I am married to the most thoughtful, encouraging, hard-working and servant-hearted man! My husband is currently in school full-time for Accounting and we both are working full-time.  Through the process, we have learned to cherish the little moments and the big, to lean on one another and that truly with God at the center of our marriage we have all we need.  Even though two years is just the beginning of a lifetime together, we love the ministry and intentionality of marriage!

love our home. I love what home means, how it feels, and the memories that have been made here. I love creating a refuge for our family and a place where hospitality, love, and creativity can thrive. Crafting this refuge has taken much trial-and-error with routines or strategies (like these!) to learn the balance of maintaining our desires for our home, along with a lot of soul-searching about what home means to us and what our priorities are. But it has been SO worth it!

Just as much as making our own home a place we adore, I love being able to help other women identify what they want within their own homes and helping them to find out how to get there! To me, homemaking is not the run-down, old-fashioned term that some might think it is. It is the art of making your home – which is a process that brings so much life, joy and peace to life!

Health and Wellness

Along with my faith, marriage and passion for making our home – health and wellness are a huge part of my life and story! Over the last few years, I have lost almost 50 pounds and have found so much joy and strength in learning to live a healthy and balanced lifestyle. You can learn more about my weight loss journey here!

On this blog, I hope that you will find passionate courage in your faith, thriving strength in your marriage, and simplified joy in your homes.
